Municipal Ordinance
Our high diversion rates enable our customers to meet recycling requirements for municipalities with recycling ordinances, such as Glendale, Baldwin Park, Hidden Hills, Pasadena, La Canada, unincorporated L. A. County, Santa Monica, Santa Clarita, and many others.

LEED/CHPS Green Building Initiatives
We enable contractors to meet the recycling requirements for "Green Building" programs such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and CHPS (the Collaborative for High Performance Schools).

L.A. City Rebates

As a certified recycler, our high diversion rates/excellent reporting makes rebates possible to permitted haulers of $7-$8/ton.

Unacceptable Materials

Downtown Diversion does not accept non-hazardous waste requiring special handling, hazardous waste, liquid waste, pressure treated wood, lead painted wood, creosote treated wood, friable or non-friable asbestos or green waste.
